So RIGHT ON…Glen….I to felt the homily was so lacking in awareness of the depth of harm the colonial domination and residential schools have visited on the aboriginal peoples…that I cannot see how it helped reconciliation efforts at all.
Thanks, Glen, for acknowledging that the homily at the papal Mass was wildly wide of the mark--and for mentioning the astonishing and deeply distressing fact that the Eucharistic prayer was in Latin!!! I, for one, could not believe my ears.
